ROLE SUMMARY
This role requires a minimum of 8-10 years of experience. The Project Engineer will be responsible for safety compliance, subcontractor document management, constructability reviews, conceptual estimating, consultation, bid pricing review of RFI's, ASC's, CCD's, etc., program management, change management, and interface with teams on technology & low voltage scopes of work, with an emphasis on Controls and TAB/CX, including internal and external employees, vendors, and subcontractors. This position is expected to be a subject matter expert, demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and management skills to effectively manage scope definitions and integrations for technology scopes on selected projects. KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - CORE
- Support all aspects of the company's safety culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through personal actions and mentoring.
- Coordinate with the team on technology-related design and construction efforts that meet standards for constructability, quality, financial, and technical requirements.
- Handle intake and triage of RFI's, ASC's, CCD's, etc.
- Manage document control, submittals, and shop drawing logs.
- Coordinate trade-to-trade through shop drawing and submittal processes.
- Provide technical expertise on design assist, installation, and network integration, assisting in scope leveling with PM/PX.
- Review submittals and shop drawings with responsible PM before submission to AE team.
- Review quantity takeoffs, obtain vendor and trade partner pricing, and compile accurate budgets or hard bid proposals, ensuring costs align with contract scope.
- Participate in issuing RFPs to subcontractors and suppliers during the pre-construction phase.
- Support mock-up rooms/spaces.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members proactively, aligning with AMSYS' FIT policy.
- Support project delivery to meet financial, quality, and performance goals.
- Participate in company communication programs and strategy sessions to enhance marketing and service delivery.
- Assist in developing project schedules for submittals, shop drawings, BIM, scope additions, and training.
- Track and report progress on project milestones, schedule updates, and payments.
- Communicate, track, and resolve issues promptly throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure proper management and archiving of project documents upon completion.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - ADDITIONAL CORE
Additionally, this position will be responsible for:
- Managing the technology consulting process with clients, owners, and contractors, focusing on Controls and TAB/CX.
- Identifying and developing new technologies supporting AMSYS's Smart Building offerings, collaborating with the Sales Team to explore new market ideas.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, benchmarking, and participation in professional societies.
- Engaging with local civic organizations and municipalities to foster project involvement and union relations.

- Thorough understanding of project processes supporting successful completion.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and collaborate effectively.
- Experience managing budgets, maximizing profitability, and fostering future business through relationships.
- Knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure and networking, including fiber, copper, LAN/WAN, wireless, and telephony.
- Additional knowledge of Low Voltage hospital equipment (e.g., nurse call, paging, access control, CCTV, PS DAS systems) is a plus.
- Certifications are considered advantageous.
