Job summary

PIH Health Whittier is seeking a Project Engineer to provide construction administration, document control, and project coordination support to project managers and senior leadership. The role ensures regulatory documentation (HCAI/OSHPD) is processed, logs maintained, approvals routed, and closeout packages compiled across multiple concurrent hospital projects.

You will work with architects, engineers, consultants, and inspectors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination, construction administration, or equivalent.
• Healthcare construction experience preferred.
• Experience with HCAI/OSHPD processes and eServices Portal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project/document platforms (SharePoint, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, Procore).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project managers, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and inspectors.
• Maintain document-control systems, logs, and project workflows.
• Process regulatory documentation and approve submittals.
• Assist with invoices, pay applications, and closeout documents.
• Support meeting administration and project communications.
