Job summary

Healthcare Realty Trust is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead tenant improvements and capital construction for its medical office building portfolio in the Seattle area. This hands-on role requires coordinating architects, engineers and contractors, managing budgets and schedules, and driving projects to completion with internal stakeholders.

The position is full-time with a hybrid schedule and 20-30% in-state travel, offering a $100,000–$130,000 salary and annual bonus

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction, tenant improvements, healthcare, life sciences, or capital improvement projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project budgets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Travel throughout the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from initial planning through project closeout.
• Conduct regular site visits for project inspections and coordination with tenants and property teams.
• Build and manage a network of local contractors and vendors; drive competitive bidding.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and overall project execution.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and specialty vendors.
• Oversee design reviews, permitting, and construction progress.
• Review documents, proposals, and bid packages; monitor RFIs and submittals.
• Collaborate with leasing teams to develop budgets and estimates for tenants.
• Oversee capital improvements to building infrastructure and major repairs.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
• Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and municipal agencies.
