Job summary

Planate Management Group (PMG) is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Project at the Hudson Valley Health Care System, FDR Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Montrose, New York. You will provide on-site construction management support throughout the construction phase, coordinating with the COR, project stakeholders, and contractors.

Salary range for this position is $100,000 – $120,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in architecture, engineering, construction technology, or construction management with at least 3 years of relevant CM experience.
• OSHA 30 (or greater) certification within the last 5 years.
• Knowledge of VA policies, TJC, OSHA, and design standards.
• Ability to obtain a favorable NACI and VA PIV card.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate submittal reviews to ensure compliance with project specifications, VA standards, codes and VA Medical Center requirements.
• Review, monitor, and maintain construction schedules, milestones, phasing, workflow, and long-lead items.
• Document, track, and coordinate RFIs, responses, and related construction docs.
• Perform field verification and maintain as-built drawings; reflect changes accurately.
• Conduct routine construction inspections to verify contract compliance and identify non-conforming work.
• Compile site observations, defects, omissions, and corrective actions; prepare reports and sketches.
• Coordinate with General Contractor, stakeholders, and testing agencies to support construction activities and closeout.
• Assist in resolving construction issues, including change orders and claims analysis.
• Support additional activities including cost estimates and owner-furnished equipment coordination.
