Job summary

Cityscape Recruitment USA seeks an experienced Assistant Project Manager (APM) for its Connecticut team. You will assist in managing commercial and healthcare construction projects, coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors, and supporting preconstruction through closeout.

Healthcare construction experience is valued, especially in occupied facilities. The role emphasizes scheduling, cost control, documentation, and progressive responsibility toward a Project Manager position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction experience, preferably with a General Contractor
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay apps, and schedules

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day management of commercial and healthcare projects
• Support projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Assist with subcontractor buyout, procurement, and contract administration
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project docs
• Assist with project schedules and monitor milestones
• Attend meetings and distribute minutes and action items
• Assist with cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting
• Review subcontractor invoices and applications for payment
• Coordinate material procurement and long-lead items
• Work with Superintendent to ensure timely completion
• Support quality control and project closeout
• Identify issues and help develop solutions
• Maintain relationships with clients, subs, architects, and consultants
