Job summary

Spectral MD Inc is hiring a Deep Learning Data Scientist II to advance computer vision solutions in healthcare. The role focuses on building DL models, ensuring data quality, and delivering deployable AI assets while collaborating with clinical partners and internal teams.

You will work on optimizing inference, evaluating state-of-the-art architectures, and maintaining reproducible ML workflows in an onsite Dallas setting.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant research or professional experience in computer vision.
• Strong Python programming skills and reproducible ML code.
• Knowledge of modern DL architectures including vision transformers.
• Proficiency with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Understanding of AI/ML evaluation metrics and benchmarking.
• Experience with model optimization (pruning, quantization, mixed precision).
• Familiarity with deployment/inference tools such as ONNX, LibTorch, TensorRT.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and evaluate ML/DL algorithms for computer vision in healthcare.
• Build and optimize model deployment pipelines for scalable inference.
• Apply optimization techniques to improve efficiency while preserving accuracy.
• Maintain data quality across the data lifecycle for robust development.
• Collaborate with clinical and internal stakeholders to translate needs into AI solutions.
• Independently manage R&D projects from problem formulation to delivery.
• Ensure reproducibility with documentation and versioned workflows.
• Stay current with AI/ML advances and assess applicability to projects.
• Communicate technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
