Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Compliance Program Manager to support the Hospital Compliance Department. Reporting to senior leadership, the role implements essential elements of UNC Health’s systemwide compliance program, including education, investigations, audits, risk monitoring, and policy development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s OR Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Health care compliance certification required within two (2) years of employment (e.g., CHC; CHPC; CPC).
• Master’s degree: three (3) years of relevant healthcare experience; Bachelor’s: five (5) years; Associate’s: seven (7) years.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day operations of UNC Health’s Hospital/Physician Compliance program.
• Develops, implements, and monitors compliance initiatives to meet regulatory standards.
• Ensures timely identification and resolution of compliance issues.
• Promotes adherence to federal and state laws and UNC Health policies.
• Monitors regulatory changes and provides updates to leadership.
• Develops and maintains policies and procedures supporting compliance.
• Performs risk assessments and coordinates audits/investigations.
• Designs and manages training programs on compliance or ethics topics.
• Coordinates education for senior leadership and clinical teams.
• Maintains a compliance monitoring plan with audits and reviews.
• Tracks program performance metrics for leadership and regulators.
• Collaborates with Internal Audit, Legal and other departments to ensure compliance.
