Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking a Compliance Auditor to support a NY/NJ area non-profit providing home healthcare services. This 13-week contract may become permanent, with typical hours 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday, in NYC metro locations.

You will perform internal and external audits for the Compliance Department, develop risk-based audits, document findings, and drive remediation with leadership on corrective actions, including site visits across NYC, Westchester, and Long Island.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, political science, social science or related field.
• Experience with PACE, Part D, LHCSA and Article 28 requirements.
• Minimum of three years healthcare audit background, preferably in a Health Insurance Plan.
• Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid programs is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise-wide risk assessments and the annual compliance audit plan.
• Develop and perform risk-based audits to assess regulatory, contractual, and governmental compliance.
• Document findings, identify root causes, and present results with supporting evidence.
• Partner with leadership on corrective action plans and track remediation efforts.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations while providing guidance to stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits across NYC, Westchester, and Long Island.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to support audits, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
• Perform additional compliance-related duties as assigned.
