Job summary

Texicare, based in Texas, seeks an entry level or intermediate Compliance Analyst to support an effective regulatory compliance program for a health plan. The role covers ACA, HIPAA, Texas insurance regulations, SERFF filings, and privacy/security duties.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, work cross-functionally, and manage multiple tasks. A bachelor’s degree is required; 2+ years for intermediate level and a willingness to obtain healthcare compliance certification within three months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in healthcare compliance, health insurance regulatory compliance, managed care operations, or third-party administrator environments.
• Entry-level candidates OK; intermediate level requires 2+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and Texas insurance regulations.
• Willingness to complete healthcare compliance certification (CHC/CCEP) within the first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance activities related to Texas and federal laws affecting fully insured health plans (ACA, HIPAA, Texas regulatory requirements).
• Assist with SERFF submissions and regulatory filings per Texas Department of Insurance requirements.
• Support HIPAA compliance activities including risk assessments and privacy/security-related tasks.
• Assist with Texas URA requirements including adverse determinations and member communications.
• Monitor delegated vendors and TPAs for contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the compliance and ethics program, including training and auditing.
