Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst to audit and review complex systems within the Office of Institutional Compliance. The role focuses on evaluating controls, reporting on compliance matters, and ensuring adherence to federal and state laws and regulations.

The position is remote within Texas with occasional onsite presence. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least four years in audit or investigations, with strong analytical skills and experience in HIPAA/privacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience in an audit or investigation function preferred.
• Experience in auditing and/or investigations within a healthcare/compliance setting is preferred.
• Strong analytical reasoning, data interpretation, and reporting capabilities.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, privacy regulations, and policy management practices preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Audit and review complex systems to evaluate compliance with laws and regulations.
• Coordinate audits of compliance activities for the Office of Institutional Compliance (OIC).
• Prepare risk assessments, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
• Support COI disclosures, monitoring, and management plans.
• Assist with hotline/case management and incident documentation.
• Support billing, coding compliance analytics, and regulatory updates.
