Job summary

BRG is seeking a Healthcare Compliance Auditor within the Healthcare Transactions and Strategy (HTS) group. The Senior Associate will perform billing and coding audits, review compliance programs, and develop client deliverables while advancing within a high-growth healthcare consulting track.

The role includes training for CPC/CPMA or CCC-P/AOC certs, working with data analytics, and staying current on government compliance. A BS/BA and healthcare focus are required.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree (BS or BA) and passion for healthcare.
• Desire to obtain a medical coding certificate.
• Experience in healthcare consulting for coding/audit work is a plus.
• Preference for candidates with physician practice coding experience or auditing in health plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform medical record audits to determine coding accuracy and compliant claims submission.
• Develop coding and documentation audit methodology using knowledge of key risk areas in coding and documentation.
• Perform coding and documentation audits, reviewing medical records and charges to ensure compliance.
• Conduct analysis of audit findings to identify trends and communicate recommendations for improvement.
• Learn and stay current on coding guidelines and develop analyses using transactional/financial data.
• Generate client deliverables and contribute to expert reports.
