Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a skilled Coder to translate medical records into standardized CPT, ICD-9/10 and HCPCS codes for accurate billing. You will ensure documentation compliance, communicate with providers, and stay current with coding updates.

Ideal candidates hold CPC or related credentials, have EHR experience, and understand payer rules and regulatory changes. This role is based in Kentucky within a major care network.

Qualifications

• Certified CODING credentials or equivalent required.
• Experience with CPT, ICD-9/10, HCPCS coding.
• EHR experience and coding compliance knowledge.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of regulatory changes and payer rules.

Responsibilities

• Translate medical records into standard codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliant billing submissions.
• Apply CPT, ICD-9/10, and HCPCS coding per guidelines.
• Communicate with providers and staff to resolve coding questions.
