Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance required.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning chemicals and floor care techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing surfaces.
• Collects and disposes of waste following hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Handles soiled linens and replaces with clean bags.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Responds to spills and contamination cleanups with proper disinfection.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or relocation.
• Monitors supply usage and maintains safe storage of materials.
• Communicates maintenance and repair needs to supervisor or facilities team.
• Maintains accurate cleaning logs and reports completed tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains reliable attendance.
• Follows all hospital policies and safety standards.
