Job summary

Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT, seeks a Claims Analyst to analyze, review and resolve daily claim edits in our billing systems for inpatient and outpatient services.

You will coordinate with registration, clinical departments, IT and patient accounting to address edits and develop new edits, while monitoring charge entry and interfaces to ensure timely postings and month-end accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years experience in Accounts Receivable or related accounting.
• Excel/Word/Outlook and hospital financial systems proficiency.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review and resolve daily claim edits in billing systems for inpatient and outpatient.
• Coordinate with registration, departments, IT and patient accounting to address edits and develop new edits.
• Monitor daily charge entry and interfaces to ensure timely posting; assist month-end close.
• Review Allscripts reports and follow up with hospital personnel to ensure action.
• Provide support to ensure efficient department operation and participate in special projects.
