Qualifications

• Degree in Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Counseling or related field.
• Certification or endorsement from a recognized chaplaincy or pastoral care organization.
• Experience in grief counseling, pastoral care and volunteer management in healthcare.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to make independent decisions while upholding ethical standards.
• Able to work 32 hours per week and some Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate pastoral counseling and grief support to patients, families, and staff.
• Conduct spiritual assessments and develop individualized care plans respecting diverse backgrounds.
• Lead and coordinate volunteer programs that support spiritual care services.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate spiritual care into treatment plans.
• Develop educational programs and workshops on spiritual well-being and ethical decision-making.
• Respond to crisis situations with pastoral interventions and ongoing support.
• Maintain confidential documentation of pastoral care activities.
• Exercise independent judgment in decisions related to patient care and program development.
