Hunterdon Health is seeking a Chaplain for the Hospital Chaplaincy Program in Flemington, NJ. This full-time role supports patients and staff across units with spiritual care, end-of-life guidance, and collaboration with palliative teams.

Minimum education is a Master’s in Divinity with at least one year in healthcare; CPAs are preferred. Excellent communication and intercultural sensitivity are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree of Divinity or equivalent.
• One year in a health care setting.
• Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred.
• Ordination or endorsement from faith community preferred.
• APC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Member of the palliative care team.
• Serve as liaison to faith community in Hunterdon County.
• Provide spiritual counseling, sacraments, prayer, readings, music and rituals.
• Advocate for spiritual concerns of patient, family and staff.
• Guide ethical discussions and end-of-life planning with IDT.
• Assess spiritual needs and plan care with Hunterdon Hospice IDT; visit patients.
• Support team after crisis or trauma as needed.
