Job summary

Unity Health is seeking a Workforce Development Specialist to design and manage programs helping employees and community members advance in healthcare careers. This role coordinates apprenticeships, pathways, tuition and certification initiatives, and workforce pipeline efforts.

The position serves as the main liaison with partner schools and community organizations, and may represent Unity Health at outreach events. Travel to facilities and schools is required; evenings/weekends may occur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, organizational development, education, business administration, healthcare administration, communications, marketing, or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred; related experience considered in lieu of education.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in workforce development, education partnerships, career coaching, recruiting, or program management required.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills across schools, community partners, and clinical/non-clinical departments.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, sustain, and promote programs that help Unity Health employees and community members enter and advance in healthcare careers.
• Manage apprenticeships, clinical and non-clinical career pathways, tuition and certification programs, workforce pipeline initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for partner schools, colleges, and universities.
• Represent Unity Health at selected school, community, and workforce outreach events to raise awareness of healthcare career opportunities.
