Job summary

The Tennessee Hospital Association's Workforce and Rural Health Department is seeking a Workforce Program Specialist to support statewide healthcare workforce programs and initiatives across hospitals, educational institutions, and government partners.

The role focuses on employer engagement, program implementation, grant administration, and performance monitoring in service of rural and underserved communities.

Qualifications

• A clinical degree, healthcare-related associate degree, or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, education, human resources, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and support healthcare employers in workforce development initiatives.
• Administer workforce development grants and ensure compliance with grant agreements.
• Review reimbursement requests and maintain documentation for audits.
• Maintain databases and prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities among partners to support program implementation.
• Plan and facilitate meetings, trainings, and stakeholder events.
• Support statewide workforce development initiatives and develop program materials.
• Participate in departmental planning and identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness.
• Update membership and stakeholder contact records.
• Travel up to 20% of the time; occasional overnight travel.
