Job summary

ECU Health Police seeks a dedicated Police Officer to deliver a full spectrum of law enforcement within the ECU Health system, primarily assigned to ECU Health Bertie. You will patrol, investigate incidents, apprehend suspects, and enforce traffic safety to secure the hospital campus and its patients, staff, and visitors.

The role requires completion of basic training, NC certification, and a valid NC driver's license, with shifts that include evenings and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher with 1–2 years of related education/experience.
• Basic Law Enforcement Training is required.
• Law Enforcement certification by the State of North Carolina.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.
• Minimum age of 20 years.

Responsibilities

• Patrols, conduct investigations and provide law enforcement services to secure the hospital campus.
• Pursue criminal apprehensions; perform preliminary and follow-up investigations.
• Enforce traffic laws and perform traffic enforcement activities.
• Support ECU Health Bertie and other ECU Health regions as assigned.
