Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support a hospital campus and multiple clinics in Temple, TX. This hands-on role covers preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and safety systems.

You will start on first shift for training and transition to a first shift schedule. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficient operation of critical infrastructure to support healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities across the large healthcare campus that includes a hospital and multiple small clinics/Medical Office Buildings.
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on a wide range of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections to diagnose potential problems and execute timely repairs, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Complete assigned work orders efficiently and accurately, utilizing available systems for tracking and documentation.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance tickets and critical system failures.
• Execute general plumbing maintenance tasks such as unclogging drains, changing valves, replacing faucets, and repairing leaks.
