CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the continuous operation and pristine condition of a healthcare campus in Temple, TX.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems on a large campus including a hospital and clinics. The role starts with a training schedule on a first shift, then transitions to a dedicated first shift (Wednesday‑Sunday).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma plus 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Clear communication to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities across a large healthcare campus that includes a hospital and multiple clinics/Medical Office Buildings.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections to diagnose potential problems and perform timely repairs.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately and document actions in the system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance tickets and critical system failures.
• Execute plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains, replacing valves, and repairing leaks.
• Perform HVAC maintenance, including belt replacement and adjusting patient room temperatures.
• Replace light fixtures, patch/paint, and replace ceiling tiles as needed.
• Address electrical issues such as resetting breakers and troubleshooting systems.
• Assist with installation or modification of building equipment and support energy management initiatives.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Building Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation and pristine condition of a diverse campus of healthcare facilities, including a hospital, multiple clinics and medical office buildings in Temple, TX.

This hands‑on position requires comprehensive maintenance, upkeep, and repair of small to medium‑sized buildings, building systems, and equipment. Initially, you will work a first‑shift schedule Monday‑Friday for training, transitioning to a dedicated first shift Wednesday‑Sunday. Your efforts will directly support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of critical infrastructure essential to healthcare delivery.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain facilities across the large healthcare campus that includes a hospital and multiple small clinics/Medical Office Buildings.
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on a wide range of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections to diagnose potential problems and execute timely repairs, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Complete assigned work orders efficiently and accurately, utilizing available systems for tracking and documentation.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance tickets and critical system failures.
• Execute general plumbing maintenance tasks such as unclogging drains, changing valves, replacing faucets, and repairing leaks.
• Perform HVAC maintenance, including replacing belts and adjusting temperatures in patient rooms.
• Conduct building upkeep, including changing light fixtures, patching and painting, and replacing ceiling tiles.
• Address general electrical maintenance issues, including resetting breakers and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems as needed.
• Support energy management initiatives by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
• Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
