Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA member, seeks a Sous Chef for a cafe setting in North Phoenix, AZ. You will supervise front and back of house staff, assist with menus, and support Executive Chef in operations, ordering, and culinaryprogram rollouts.

The role requires high-volume kitchen management experience, strong knowledge of food safety, and collaboration with marketing and culinary teams. Strong computer skills and ServSafe certification are valued.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience; catering a plus.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience; institutional and batch cooking helpful.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends; focus on quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.
• Must be experienced with computers; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, E-mail and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and executes catering events.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with the Company marketing and culinary team.
