Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan seeks a data analytics professional to leverage advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data visualization to generate actionable insights that improve healthcare outcomes and program performance.

You will partner with business leaders, clinical teams, pharmacy services, and operational stakeholders to analyze healthcare data, evaluate program effectiveness, and provide data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Statistics, Biostatistics or Health Economics.
• Minimum of two years' experience in statistics, biostatistics, or health economics.
• Proven ability to develop and implement advanced statistical methods for healthcare data and data mining.
• Extensive knowledge of health insurance/healthcare industry and BCBSM products and programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of healthcare claims data using advanced statistics and machine learning to identify trends and predict future health trends.
• Proactively identify areas for medical cost improvement and healthcare initiative strategies.
• Provide statistical support and consultation to program owners and leadership.
• Prepare presentations and technical reports communicating findings to business owners, providers and stakeholders.
