Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/ Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Revenue Cycle. You will handle approximately 45-55 inbound calls per day, resolve billing issues, respond to inquiries, and ensure client satisfaction.

Onsite, with a set Monday–Friday schedule between 7am and 5:30pm. The role emphasizes clear communication, de-escalation, and collaboration with providers and patients.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and organizational skills; ability to interface with difficult customers and work with minimal direct supervision to meet required goals.
• Bilingual Spanish/English and healthcare/insurance experience are a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from patients and providers regarding payment issues and insurance data.
• Document call details and reasons in the claim system.
• Research, resolve and respond to billing issues accurately and promptly.
• Support Reimbursement in posting zero payment Explanation of Payments from Insurance.
• Monitor patient accounts to facilitate prompt payment and prevent transfers to collections.
• Assist with EOB adjustments, Bad Debt Recovery, trailer entries and cash payments mailing.
