Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiar with computer basics.
• Effective data and numerical data entry skills.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD and HCPCS billing codes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pre-billing files.
• Sort, locate and retrieve billing documents and patient account files.
• Assist with routine telephone inquiries.
• Utilize on-line systems to verify authorizations.
• Prepare patient payment files.
• Perform routine patient accounting functions.
• Maintain patient account systems.
• May perform front desk reception and record cash/check payments.
