Job summary

Neighborhood Health Center in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Billing Assistant to join our billing team. You’ll provide billing customer service to patients, answer questions, and set up payment agreements with a focus on accuracy and compassion.

Responsibilities include processing claims, posting payments, educating patients about the sliding fee discount program, and assisting with sliding fee applications. Some travel to Neighborhood sites in Western New York may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Process claims, post payments, and other billing clerical tasks.
• Provide patients with education about our sliding fee discount program, and support with sliding fee applications.
• Travel to all Neighborhood sites in Western New York as needed.
