Job summary

Neighborhood Health Center in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Billing Assistant to join our billing team. You’ll provide billing customer service to patients, answer questions, and set up payment agreements with a focus on accuracy and compassion.

Responsibilities include processing claims, posting payments, educating patients about the sliding fee discount program, and assisting with sliding fee applications. Some travel to Neighborhood sites in Western New York may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

As a billing assistant, you’ll play an important role in the success of the organization by using your attention to detail, resiliency, communication and collaboration skills.

About the Role

You’ll assist patients, answer billing questions and set up payment agreements using your kindness, problem-solving and customer service skills. Responsibilities include:
