Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Six (6) months previous insurance billing experience.
• Knowledge of third-party billing and claims processing, medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding; healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills; ability to adapt to frequent change.

Responsibilities

• Process daily billing and review bills for correctness prior to submission.
• Maintain a clear, concise, and complete history on each account per procedure.
• Review denials, mail, returns, rejections, appeals, refunds and requests for information per policy.
• Perform daily follow-up on accounts and work them per established procedure.
