Weiser Memorial Hospital is seeking a Billing Specialist/Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage the insurance billing process and post payments. You will audit accounts for coding accuracy, collect payments from insurers and patients, and work with the team on performance improvement initiatives to ensure timely cash collection.

Applicants should have prior healthcare billing/AR experience and a high school diploma.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in data entry using PC-based software.
• Thorough understanding of insurance plans, government programs (Medicare/Medicaid).
• Prior billing and accounts receivable experience in healthcare settings.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the payment process with insurance companies, federal/state agencies, and third party payers.
• Post insurance and patient payments to the correct accounts and maintain denials log.
• Print EOBs, reconcile EFT deposits, and monitor daily cash receipts.
• Review charges for proper coding and adjust balances per policy.
• Communicate with insurers and patients to resolve account problems and collections.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and performance improvements.
