Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks a highly motivated BI professional to build and maintain a decision support platform. Responsibilities include end-to-end BI solutions, data mart design, report and visualization development (Tableau), and data analysis to maximize value of care delivery at UMHS.

Qualifications

• Proficient use of SQL or equivalent for data extraction and reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, R).
• Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Understanding of BI architecture and ability to tailor tools to user needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert for report writing via SQL and dashboard design.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs with data architecture alignment.
• Interview users to determine data, reports, analytics, metadata, and training needs.
• Collaborate with data warehousing teams to optimize data delivery.
