Job summary

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and strong communication skills. EPIC and Microsoft Office proficiency are preferred, with a focus on accurate EPIC documentation and timely payer liaison.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in a healthcare environment preferred; familiarity with medical office procedures.
• Experience with EPIC and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, submit, and track prior authorization and pre-certification requests for office visits and imaging (MRI/CT).
• Review and communicate with insurance policies, benefits, and coverage limitations.
• Document medical records and letters of medical necessity to support authorizations.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel imaging exams and coordinate with patients.
• Educate patients and providers on coverage limitations or out-of-pocket costs.
• Update EPIC with authorization numbers, visit limits and expiration dates.
