Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and at least two years in medical billing clerical work.
• Experience communicating with carriers via web, phone, and fax.
• Proficiency with EPIC, email, MS Teams, and EPIC chat functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain EPIC work queues.
• Communicate with insurance carriers via web, phone and fax to obtain benefit and authorization requirements.
• Process pre-service authorizations for radiology advanced imaging, injectable medications, DME, and surgical procedures.
• Notify physician offices and facilities of authorization status.
• Communicate professionally via email, MS Teams and EPIC chat.
