Job summary

UCI Health, one of California's largest academic health systems, is seeking a team member responsible for obtaining all necessary authorizations in accordance with established guidelines. You will verify eligibility, obtain benefit information, and generate letters for approvals.

In this role, you will respond to Member Services and Call Center inquiries, resolve authorization issues, and maintain clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays.
• Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner.
• Demonstrated experience using a multi-line telephone system.
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Ability to make simple calculations and perform simple math.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Ability to effectively read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities
