Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Management Analyst to provide analytical and project management support across administrative and operational functions. You will gather data from business systems to help management operate more efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities include data preparation, reporting, feasibility studies, market analyses, and presenting findings to leadership. Requires EMR familiarity, strong data mining skills, and knowledge of NY Medicaid and CMS regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive business and decision support experience.
• Working knowledge of a health care EMR such as Epic/Clarity, aCW, etc.; a payor
• Knowledge of the New York State Medicaid and CMS Medicare regulations and related reporting requirements
• Strong data mining skills using tools like SQL, R, Python, SAS, Java/MapReduce, Aster, etc.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, prepares, and reconciles basic organizational data and information. Provides accurate information to management for review, analysis and decision making.
• Prepares monthly or quarterly reports and presentations as required.
• Advances the organization’s ability to meet and exceed key strategic initiatives.
• Updates monthly metrics and reports trends.
• Assists in preparation of basic feasibility studies and business plans to support new business developments.
• Documents current operations and may provide recommendations on new procedures and methods for management.
• Prepares documents and diagrams to illustrate and describe operations, and presents findings and recommendations.
• Assists in the preparation of Market Research and Analyses, Demand and Supply Analyses, and Demographic Studies to inform and support senior leadership’s decision making related to specific initiatives.
• May track research grants, and prepare Research Density and Grants Analysis several times a year.
• May monitor project timelines and budgets.
• Performs other duties as required.
