Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is offering a Healthcare Analytics Intern (Value-Based Program) in Omaha. You will gain hands-on experience with healthcare financial data, reimbursement methodologies, and impact model reporting while building data analytics and BI skills.

As part of the team, you’ll support analysis, reporting, and administration of value-based care programs, create reports and dashboards, and help communicate insights to support decisions in a hybrid on-site/remote work

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
Interest in healthcare finance, reimbursement, contracting, or revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

Learn how healthcare claims data, provider reimbursement, population health, and value-based care programs inform decisions.
Help create reports and dashboards that track trends in quality, cost, utilization, and financial performance.
Support business processes and workflows to run value-based care programs effectively.
Assist with reviewing program performance, cost trends, and utilization data.
