Job summary

Highmark Health’s Summer 2027 Clinical and Population Health Graduate Internship offers hands-on analytics experience using clinical, member, financial, and administrative data to improve healthcare outcomes. You will work with experts to develop insights aligned with the Quadruple Aim, including better outcomes and reduced costs.

You'll gain skills in population health metrics, clinical quality, and data-driven decision-making across healthcare domains. Authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing an advanced degree in Public Health, Economics, Health Sciences, Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related analytics/quantitative discipline.
• Interest in population health, healthcare analytics, clinical quality, healthcare economics, health outcomes, or health services research.
• Experience analyzing healthcare, clinical, financial, administrative, or population-level data through coursework, research, internships, or professional experience.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, epidemiologic methods, research methodologies, or healthcare performance measurement.
• Experience with analytical or statistical tools and methods used to evaluate complex datasets.
• Understanding of healthcare quality, utilization, cost, outcomes, or population health concepts.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with day-to-day objectives.
• Participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Assist in planning and implementing unit projects and initiatives.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations.
• Engage in related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
