Middleton OaksHealth and Rehabilitation in Winona, MS is seeking a qualified Business Development Coordinator to join our team. This full-time role requires organization, compassion, and experience in healthcare, business development, or insurance to support admissions and resident services.

You will coordinate pre-admission, admission, and follow-up processes, conduct tours for prospective residents, verify eligibility, and collaborate with the Liaison and departments to ensure timely, quality

Qualifications

• Minimum of a secondary education diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in healthcare, business development, or insurance.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Support admissions activities in pre-admission, admission, discharge, and follow-up.
• Conduct facility tours for prospective residents.
• Coordinate with the Liaison on patient acceptance.
• Track pre-admission referrals and notify departments of admissions.
• Arrange and confirm admissions.
• Obtain payor pre-approval numbers per case when authorized.
• Verify OBRA screens when indicated.
• Complete face sheets and distribute to departments.
• Verify eligibility and determine co-pay estimates with Medicaid as appropriate.
• Track hospital admissions and readmissions.
• Coordinate weekend/holiday admissions with Liaisons.
• Initiate admission packets with patients or responsible parties.
• Maintain Resident Roster, waiting list, and inquiry list per state regulations.
• Coordinate clinical assessment and acceptance in Liaison's absence.
