Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College – Terre Haute Campus is seeking Adjunct Faculty for our School of Nursing to teach in a classroom environment or clinical site. Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis.

Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Possesses a current, unencumbered Indiana RN license.
• The majority of faculty shall hold master’s degrees in nursing.
• Faculty with Bachelor’s degrees in nursing must meet ALL of the following requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials; maintains accurate student records and grades.
• Engages with students using active teaching strategies to enhance learning and curricular goals.
• Interacts professionally with students and co-workers and complies with College policies.
• Implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and learning environments.
