Job summary

TurningPoint Healthcare Solutions is seeking an Associate Actuary to drive actuarial studies, underwriting and pricing models for value-based care initiatives. You will lead analytical projects and interact with clients to communicate results.

The role requires substantial experience in healthcare actuarial work, strong data analytics, and ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, finance or economics.
• ASA in the Society of Actuaries required; FSA preferred.
• Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries.
• Minimum of seven (5+) years of healthcare actuarial or similar experience.
• Proven track record of excelling in high‑performance, analytic and data‑driven cultures.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing and underwriting models, including governance processes and client presentations.
• Apply actuarial techniques across claim trend analyses, experience studies, medical economics, profitability analysis, risk adjustment and predictive modeling.
• Support ongoing financial reconciliation for value-based care contracts and provider network analysis.
• Lead development of complex actuarial studies and present findings to senior management.
• Design, build and manage risk adjustment models and monitor performance.
