WTW in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Senior Analyst to contribute to analyses and projects across health and group benefits, interface with vendors and client teams, and deliver high-quality client deliverables.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in professional services, ideally in benefit consulting/brokerage or health underwriting/actuarial function of an insurer.
• Basic knowledge of health and welfare products & services.
• Ability to learn big data analytic technics.
• Knowledge of carrier claim reporting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget.
• Strong client service orientation and timely communication.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Is an active member on multiple employer client teams providing analyses and client deliverables across a region.
• Supports benefit plan analysis, design, cost avoidance, risk and funding strategies.
• Contributes to vendor financial reviews for clients.
• Provides quality reviews for technical and consulting accuracy on client projects, including pricing and employee contributions strategies, modelling plan design alternatives and calculating reserves.
• Delivers accurate claim reporting and financial modeling to support client decisions.
• Partners with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams to deliver project management.
• Learn to communicate complex financial/actuarial results to drive client action.
• Build strong relationships and collaborate on cross-functional teams.
