Job summary

Milliman in Seattle is seeking actuarial analysts to join our team, collaborating with consulting actuaries to develop and apply models for pricing and forecasting. This role offers hands-on experience and comprehensive training in consulting skills and advanced actuarial techniques within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include analyzing healthcare data, drafting professional reports, and reviewing colleagues’ work to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or a related field.
• Up to 4 years of healthcare actuarial experience.
• Passed a minimum of 1 SOA exam (2+ preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAS, SQL, R, Python, and/or Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex healthcare data and generate insightful reports using spreadsheets and databases.
• Draft clear, professional reports and client/internal correspondence.
• Review and validate colleagues’ work to ensure high quality.
• Contribute to research initiatives and support marketing projects.
• Pursue actuarial exams with goal of Fellowship.
