Job summary

Milliman’s Seattle Health Practice seeks actuarial analysts to develop and apply actuarial models for pricing and forecasting, collaborating with consulting actuaries in a supportive environment.

The role offers hands-on experience, comprehensive training in consulting skills, and opportunities to advance professionally. You will analyze healthcare data, draft client-ready reports, and contribute to research initiatives while pursuing actuarial exams toward Fellowship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or a related field
• Up to 4 years of healthcare actuarial experience
• Passed a minimum of 1 SOA exam (2+ preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAS, SQL, R, Python, and/or Power BI is a plus
• Ability to network and build professional relationships quickly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex healthcare data and generate insightful reports using advanced spreadsheets and databases
• Draft clear, professional reports and correspondence for clients and internal teams
• Review and validate colleagues’ work to ensure exceptional quality
