Job summary

Stanton Park Health & Rehabilitation in Washington, DC is seeking an Activity Assistant per diem to support the activities team in addressing residents' needs and interests. You will organize, implement, and participate in activities that promote recovery and wellbeing.

The role requires HS Diploma with recreation coursework; state-approved activity-training certification is preferred, plus prior experience in leading recreational activities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with Course Work in Recreation is Desirable
• Completion of a State Approved Activity-Training Course preferred
• Experience leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, educational activities, or community outings desired

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing activity services tailored to residents' needs
• Support the Director of Activities in selecting activities and organizing schedules
• Engage residents in meaningful, therapeutic and enjoyable programs

WhatYou’llBe Doing:

The Activity Assistant supports the efforts of the Director of Activities in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity services to address the individualized needs and interests of the overall patient population within the center.

Requirements:

Education:HS Diploma with Course Work in Recreation is Desirable

Licenses/Certification:Completion of a State Approved Activity-Training Course preferred

Experience:Previous experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, intellectual/educational activities, community outings, etc. desired
