Job summary

Physician Partners of America seeks an Accounts Payable Manager in Tampa, FL, a full-time role with some work-from-home flexibility. You will lead the end-to-end AP process, review invoices, manage payment runs, code accurately, and ensure timely payments to vendors.

You will supervise AP staff, support month-end close, and collaborate with Finance to improve workflows and internal controls. A strong background in AP systems and vendor management is essential; healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with AP and vendor management experience.
• Solid analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
• Proficiency with AP systems and general ledger software.
• Experience leading an AP team preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Knowledge of internal control practices; healthcare experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable processing.
• Review and process invoices and manage payment runs.
• Ensure accurate coding and timely vendor payments.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain policy compliance.
• Analyze variances and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Improve AP workflows and controls.
• Supervise AP staff and support month-end close.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams.
• Contribute to process enhancements and system upgrades.
