Job summary

Neighborhood Health Association in Toledo, OH seeks an experienced Accountant to assist the Director of Finance and ensure accuracy of accounts and adherence to accounting procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statement packages, maintaining General Ledger, auditing accounts, recording cash receipts, and preparing journal entries. Strong knowledge of payroll, AP/AR and grants management is required; healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Minimum two years' experience in a variety of accounting functions.
• Working knowledge of general accounting systems, payroll, AP/AR, and grants management.
• Proficiency with general ledger software and spreadsheets.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Strong ethics and integrity; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statement packages with detailed analysis.
• Audit accounts and distribute charges.
• Record cash receipts and prepare cash balance schedules.
• Prepare journal entries and review accounting forms/procedures.
