Job summary

Neighborhood Health Association in Toledo, OH seeks a finance leader to assist the CFO in managing day-to-day fiscal operations and to provide oversight across the department in the CFO's absence.

You will supervise finance staff, oversee billing, accounts payable/receivable, forecasting, audits, and budget development while ensuring compliance with regulations and contributing to strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration; master's degree desirable.
• 3–5 years of financial experience in healthcare with knowledge of credit financing and third-party billing.
• Working knowledge of computer applications; strong oral and written communication; interpersonal skills.
• Able to move around clinics between workstations.

Responsibilities

• Assists CFO in overall management of fiscal operations and acts on CFO's behalf in their absence.
• Manages day-to-day operations of the finance department including staffing, scheduling and staff development.
• Directs audit, billing, cashiering, collection, financial counseling and AP functions through subordinate staff.
• Prepares accounts receivable reports for the finance committee and reviews with CFO.
• Assists in forecasting bad debt and monitoring reserves for doubtful accounts; supports annual audits.
• Responsible for billing and revenue collection related to patient and non-patient revenue.
