Highlights Of The Health & Wellness-Engagement Specialist Position

The Engagement Specialist at Pegasus Senior Living is responsible for implementing and ensuring that processes and programming for senior living (Independent, Assisted Living, and Memory Care) are consistently adhered to across all communities. This role requires extensive travel and remote work, focusing on training leaders and staff to deliver high-quality, engaging, and supportive programs for senior living residents. Additionally, the candidate will assist with social media and marketing projects, requiring strong computer skills and knowledge of various social media platforms.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, Associate’s degree or higher educational degree in nursing, gerontology, social work, psychology, recreation, marketing, occupational therapist, occupational therapist assistant or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in senior living or a related field, with a focus on training and staff development and senior living activities

• Skills:
• Strong expertise in memory care best practices and programming.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for remote coordination and training.
• Knowledgeable in various social media platforms and overall computer skills.
• Creative and strategic thinking for social media and marketing projects.
• Certifications: Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred
