Job summary

The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA is seeking a Health and Wellness Director to lead health programs, recruit and develop staff, and promote active aging. You will partner with public health and physician networks to grow referrals to evidence-based programs and ensure quality, safety, and membership engagement.

The role requires a background in kinesiology or related field, supervisory experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, physical education, recreation or equivalent.
• Two+ years supervisory experience in health/fitness preferred.
• Certifications in group exercise and personal training or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages branch health and wellness programs.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises program staff and volunteers.
• Manage department budget and monitor safety standards and records.
