Job summary

The University of Michigan is seeking a Project Manager to lead the management and execution of the HHWB theme year projects across all three UM campuses, including events, grants, and stakeholder engagement.

This hybrid role supports building a health-conscious culture, promoting whole-person mental health, and translating health research into real-world impact through collaborations with faculties, Michigan Medicine, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, education, public health, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of full lifecycle project or program management experience.
• Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and concurrent workstreams.
• Knowledge of events management and coordination.
• Proficient in project management and collaboration tools to track plans and communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex, cross-disciplinary health and well-being projects across three UM campuses.
• Assemble and lead project teams across schools, Michigan Medicine, and community partners.
• Administer internal grant programs, including intake, review, awards, and reporting.
• Apply PM best practices to monitor milestones, resolve issues, and maintain standards.
• Oversee end-to-end event management for forums, workshops, and speaker series.
• Handle event logistics: venue sourcing, speakers, vendors, day-of coordination, post-event evaluation.
• Develop durable event workflows, templates, and checklists for repeat planning.
• Build collaborative relationships across academic units, health systems, and community groups.
• Draft briefs, updates, and promotional content for digital outreach.
• Connect health and well-being efforts across campus to improve access and impact.
• Collaborate with evaluation teams to collect data and prepare executive impact reports.
• Maintain project documentation, assist with budget tracking, and supervise administrative staff.
