Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units. You will monitor supplies, respond to call lights, and assist with orders in the EHR while coordinating with nursing staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and experience with or willing to learn EPIC and EHR workflows. Flexible hours include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong keyboarding skills (Windows-based applications, LAN, intranet/internet).
• Experience with EHR systems (EPIC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.
• Monitors and orders supplies, answers patient call lights, and supports the care team with managing orders in the EHR.
• Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff; supports continuous improvement within the role.
